The Project.
In the wake of their childhood friend's suicide, Danny gets the boys together for one last summer night. Waves (for Ryan) is a short film written and directed by Rachel Kwan. The script was selected as a finalist to receive funding for the Mighty Asian Movie Making Marathon (MAMM18) to be screened at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival in BC. What a great team of independent film makers with a strong vision. A short but sweet three day shoot I am glad I was able to work with such incredible people.
Waves (For Ryan) Premiered at the 2023 Mighty Asian Movie Making Marathon. Taking home the award for: Best Picture & Best Director in the short film category.
Waves (For Ryan) was also featured at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF)
Fun fact! This was the first independent film I worked on.
